Industry is the largest energy consumer in the Basque Country, accounting for 46.6% of total energy consumption in the Basque Country.

Key CADEM actions in this area include:

• Financing and/or participation in fuel saving and replacement projects, with a view to improving efficiency in production processes.



• Advice and management of public aid programmes for singular projects involving investment in energy efficiency.



• Equivalent Electrical Efficiency Certification for CHP plants, in accordance with current legislation.
