Bioethanol cars

What are they?

Flexi-fuel vehicles are vehicles whose engines have been modified to operate with different blends of bioethanol and petrol, ranging from the maximum E85 mix to 100% conventional petrol. In some cases, use of this renewable fuel also provides greater power.

In countries such as Brazil and the US, up to 20 different models of flexi-fuel vehicle are available. Increasingly manufacturers are designing models to use renewable energy sources instead of fossil fuels.
